Job Summary: Performs duties under supervision of the Medical Director, Program Director, and/or Clinical Coordinator as appropriate for the program. Is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems. Is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems. Licensing/Education: High school diploma or general degree (GED) or certificate equivalent. Be certified and/or licensed in one of the following vocations: Respiratory Therapist, Diver Medic, Corpsman (military), Medical Services Specialist, EMT, Paramedic, RN, LPN, or LVN, CNA, CMA Current Diving Medical Technician (DMT) or Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT), Physician, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Athletic Trainer, Nurse Practitioner, Life Support Technician, Physiologist (Exercise or Aerospace), Researcher (Medical) Qualifications: Current certifications as CHT or DMT (interim status may be appointed until CHT or DMT certification is attained). Attend an approved HBO Safety course post hire. Be certified as a CHT or DMT within 1-year of hire. Attend an approved Hypebaric Safety Director course post hire. Must have completed a National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Terminology approved hyperbaric medicine introductory course post hire. Complete competency skills checklist. Maintains and demonstrates competency in BLS (Basic Life Support), infections control, safety and all unit required skills review.
