AAR constantly searches for the right thing to do for its customers, employees, partners and for society.The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.Role Description:Responsible for the overall quality of the Environmental Health and Safety EHS program. Provides the required management and direction to achieve Safety program objectives through coordination with the appropriate EHS or Aviation Safety representatives. Analyzes hazards and evaluates risk mitigation strategies to provide goals for incident prevention. Provides expert advice in order to ensure compliance with established federal, state, and local regulations regarding industry safety and environmental standards.Key Responsibilities:

Provide effective and professional communication to employees, leadership, and the U.S. Department of State.

Foster continuous improvement of the Safety program throughout the organization by evaluating site assessments, incident reports, and investigation findings.

Provide expert industry advice at all levels and coordinate as appropriate to mitigate physical hazards while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the EHS program administration, through the audit of key performance indicators KPIs and departmental files, including fire prevention and response, hazardous material HAZMAT handling and storage, hazardous waste HAZWASTE transport and disposal, spill prevention and response, hearing conservation and audiometric testing, employee respirator training and usage, post-incident drug and alcohol testing, personal protective equipment PPE training and usage, confined space operations, fall arrest and prevention, facility inspections in accordance with NFPA and OSHA guidelines, as well as OSHA recording and reporting requirements.

Develop and revise written policies and procedures to ensure continued regulatory compliance.

Ensure appropriate management of change practices are followed throughout the program.

Produce and present evaluations, reports, and training as required.

Manage certain budgetary aspects, including awards program and material requests.

Perform occasional travel CONUS and OCONUS to assist or evaluate the Safety program at various locations.

#LI-MZ1Qualifications:Required

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Environmental Health and Safety EHS Manager.

Associate's degree or educational equivalent.

Certifications in specialized training including OSHA, EPA, and HAZMAT-HAZWASTE storage, handling, and disposal procedures to include environmental regulations and compliance.

Extensive experience in risk management and mitigation.

Formal training in the conduct of mishap investigations and incident response.

US Security Clearance required.

Up to 15% domestic/ non-domestic travel

Preferred

Experience as a Safety professional at airports, hangars, or other locations performing aviation functions.

Department of Defense Safety Officer’s course completion.

Safety - Conduct family function and child safety assessments; develop, monitor, and manage required safety plans. Permanency - Identify and develop plan to successfully achieve permanency for children placed in out-of-home care. Service Delivery - Assess child and family needs; develop service plans; coordinate the delivery of services; ensure all referrals and linkages to children/parents/caregivers are completed. Reports - Prepare all required court reports and submit within the required time frames; make recommendations; testify at court hearings regarding reunification, permanent guardianship, termination of parental rights, or other case management activities; ensure court orders are completed within required time frames. Documentation – Develop and maintain case and program documentation according to contract; ensure documentation occurs within the SACWIS system and other related systems within required time frames. Engagement - Adherence to the local SOC values, goals and priorities for Brevard’s children, youth and families; Utilize a family centered strength based approach to care; Monitor quality of care by conducting face-to-face home visits with children minimally every 30 days, or with increased frequency as determined by case situations and supervisory direction; facilitate, monitor, and assess visitation between children, parents, and siblings to ensure safety and observe interactions. Support - Provide support to children, caregivers and family members to assure stable placement and timely achievement of permanency; Coordinate cases with supervisor, team members, providers, DCF and attorneys as needed. Court Appearance and Preparation- Review case information prior to every hearing in order to be prepared to answer any questions from the Court regarding the status of the case, services, and progress towards permanency; Dress appropriately for Court appearances and ensure all court hearings are attended timely.
