Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The primary role of this position is to handle various accounting functions, including processing daily entries, coordinating with our fund administrator on monthly reporting, and preparing and auditing financial statements. This role is critical to the operations of our organization and works closely with our financial partners.Responsibilities: Manage the processing of daily entries and ensure they are submitted to our banking partner accurately and timely. Collaborate closely with the fund administrator to generate monthly reports and rolling financial statements. Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of balance sheets and bank statements. Oversee and manage the preparation of financial statements for auditing. Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and update financial data. Handle general ledger duties and process journal entries as needed. Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely completion. Leverage NetSuite for various accounting tasks and data management. Apply skills in fund accounting to manage mortgage servicing funds. Ensure all account reconciliations are done accurately and promptly. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in the role of an accountant or a similar role. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required. Familiarity with General Ledger management and Journal Entries is necessary. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks is expected. Experience in carrying out Month End Close activities is a must. Knowledge and hands-on experience with robust ERP systems is a must An understanding of or hands-on experience with Trust Accounting would be a plus Experience in Financial Statement Preparation and Financial Statement Audits is crucial. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. The candidate should be capable of working independently and as part of a team. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Professional Accountancy certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are vital. The candidate should be adaptable and willing to learn new tools and techniques.
