Job Description

The Director of Education assists the Founder in overseeing the school and has a focus on educational programming, classroom observations, and staff training & development. As the Director of Education, you will:

Assume responsibility for the daily operations and every aspect of the school in the absence of the Founder.

Work in conjunction with the Founder to ensure compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies.

Abide by and enforce all terms of TerraNichol Academy Of The Arts School Employee Manual.

Produce written work for parents, staff, peers, and supervisors that are of above-standard quality in composition, content, and timeliness.

Strive to achieve goals in all areas of position to promote the school's and the company's growth and prosperity.

Lead or assist in learning lab environments in order to maintain ratios, meet financial goals, and serve as a role model.

Social Media Marketing experience.

Determine curriculum standards for classroom use

Collaborate with teachers to plan and organize developmentally appropriate curriculum

Maintain a visible presence and act as a liaison between families, students, and teaching team.

Spend time in the learning labs working with and observing the children and teaching team.

Provide opportunities for team building and collaborative work

Recognize and develop experiences where relationships can be built

Work to organize annual fundraising and development opportunities with the parent community and community at large

Organize and implement professional development with teachers, staff, and parents

Provide and offer parent support and discussions about parenting and child development

Promote community outreach by becoming involved in relevant organizations and educational programs

Select children and their families to be part of the school community

Promote and support a strong parent association

Assure compliance with applicable state and county codes and regulations

Assure compliance with all State Licensing Child Care regulations

This position is for the Educational Program Director to working alongside the teaching team in the learning labs as apart of the team.

Educational Program Director will be responsible for teaching learning labs and enrichment

workshops.

Manage a staff of 4-6 team members.

What We Need From You

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (with a minimum of 24 credits in the field), all Florida State Requirments, and First Aid and CPR

Two years of teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, required

Supervisory experience, required

Knowledge of Reggio Emilia Approach

Experience writing and reviewing student assessments, required

Experience observing learning labs and Reggio Emilia classroom set up and design preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour
