Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the Motor Retail industry, located in Sarasota, Florida. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for handling a range of accounting tasks, with a focus on the processing and monitoring of incoming payments. This role will also involve maintaining customer credit records, utilizing various software systems, and providing customer service as needed.Responsibilities: Manage and monitor multiple communication channels to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries. Efficiently process customer payments received over the phone or via email, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Utilize accounting software systems, such as SYSPRO, to apply cash received and maintain accurate customer credit records. Leverage CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, to manage customer accounts and transactions. Actively monitor customer accounts to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Handle customer phone calls professionally, providing assistance and information as needed. Process customer credit applications, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of all related tasks. Assist the Accounts Receivable team with various tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team. Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to maintain and analyze data related to accounts receivable activities. Perform check processing and other billing functions as necessary, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of all tasks. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with CRM platforms Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to handle Billing Functions Experience with Cash Activity management Skilled in Check Processing Familiarity with SYSPRO software Previous experience in the Motor Retail industry Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities High level of organization skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management skills to meet deadlines Proven track record in maintaining accurate financial records Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
