As a part time Housekeeper, you will be responsible for helping clean our small vacation rental cottages.

Each morning you work, you will arrive prior to 11 am to stock a cart with cleaning supplies & linens, then start on your list of assigned units as guests check out. All units are on one property.

Hours vary depending on occupancy, but this is an approximately 20 hour per week job. There is some flexibility about days & times. Your hours can increase if you wish if you demonstrate reliability and punctuality.

Our daily check out is at 11AM & check in is at 3PM, so the majority of cleaning takes place between those hours. Your schedule will depend on the number of guest change overs each day. A phone app will allow you to keep track of upcoming day schedules. There is also laundry & special projects related to general property cleaning that you can do on some days.

COMPENSATION:

” Pay depends on experience & abilities (starting at $13 or more per hour)

” Raises are based on:

- reliability & punctuality

- demonstrated ability to consistently flip a room to our standards within the 11-3 time frame

- taking initiative

” All cleaning supplies & equipment are provided

” 100% of tips kept by housekeeper

QUALIFICATIONS:

Reliability is priority #1.

If you are a very reliable person with a good attitude, we will flex hours for you & train if needed.

” Previous referenced housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience (extra points if you have experience in flipping rooms)

” Ability to work quickly & follow a cleaning checklist

” Ability to work without supervision & maintain a high level of performance

” We run background checks: you must have a clean criminal background

” 18 or over

” Drug free (must pass drug test for employment)

” No smoking on property

” Must have your own reliable transportation to property

” Applicants must be able to speak & understand English

” Must have a working cell phone

” Weekend work is required

RESPONSIBILITIES

” Cleaning - general cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, bed making, etc.

Deep cleaning of assigned areas.

Replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies

Move & arrange furniture, flip mattresses.

Cleans bathrooms & take out garbage

Clean & sanitize floors, walls, windows & furniture

” Work (somewhat) flexible hours. Set times are between 10-10:30 am & 3-4 pm up to 7 days per week plus other times for a total of 40 hours +

” Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., change a light bulb, swap out air filter)

” Report any maintenance issues or damage to management

” Inform management when supplies are needed

” Assist with towels & linens in laundry as needed

The ability to deal with guest issues such as lost key, extra towel needed, guest questions, etc. makes you even more valuable in the position
