Are you tired of working in a dead end job in some office cubical, construction, factory, or out of the service, but miss the excitement? If your ready for a change in your life, and are ready to start living the life you want. Keys Huka Dive is growing again. One of the biggest problems we have down here is qualified work force. The industry has more jobs for dive masters than people to fill the open positions. Working as a dive master isn't easy, but its one of the best Careers I've ever had. Each day is different. One day you may be leading divers on 100ft deep wreak dives, and the next you may be assisting in training open water divers in the pool. Your job is outside working on the dive and snorkel boats, so you will have to be comfortable being outside for extended periods of time. You do need to be a lic. Dive master. If your not a licensed dive master we have a dive master training program to bring you up to that level. The whole program consists of 4 course you must complete which we teach in house, They are open water diver, advanced diver, rescue diver, and dive master. It takes about 2 months at a part time rate to get through the courses. Now for the good part The pay. Once you are a qualified padi dive master we pay $65 dollars per 4 hr trip, $10 per diver lead, and half tips. This isn't just a job! Becoming a dive master is a career. Like most things that are good its not easy, its a life style were being out on the water and helping others enjoy our ocean is something no other job can offer. Hey you'll have a nice tan for free. Working as a dive master is a lot of responsibility for a reason because you will have people's lives in your hands. We work around your schedule during training, so on average your career takes about 2 months to complete.
Most of our divers do work either full or part time during training.
