We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or an exceptionally skilled and experienced caregiver to join our household. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and a quick learner with the ability to adapt to a complex care environment. The position involves providing attentive, quality care to a family member with significant medical and daily living needs.
Location: Private home in Sarasota
Responsibilities:Medical Support: Monitor health changes, administer medications, and document observations. Ability to spot subtle changes in condition and acting promptly is critical. Experience with Oncology patients would be a plus.
Personal Care Assistance: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, and bathroom needs while ensuring safety and dignity.
Mobility and Transfers: Perform safe and effective transfers, ensuring proper technique and safety measures. Physical fitness and proficiency in safe handling are essential.
Companionship: Provide warm, caring interaction and emotional support, fostering a comfortable and supportive environment.
Household Assistance: Light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and maintaining a clean, organized care area.
Collaboration: Work closely with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and effective care plan.
Qualifications:Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or comparable experience with proven skill in caregiving roles.
-Strong physical fitness and capability to perform demanding care tasks, including transfers and mobility assistance.
-Exceptional attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt to the unique patterns and needs of the household.
-Warm and compassionate demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with complex care situations preferred.
-Additional Information:Food preparation is not a primary responsibility at this time, as the family will continue to handle this due to the complexity of dietary needs.
