The Furniture Warehouse has 6 store locations along Florida's gulf coast and a corporate headquarters in Sarasota, FL. Our 20,000 sq. ft. showrooms offer great pricing, and we do a lot of advertising with TV, newspapers, direct mail, and social media.
We are currently seeking to fill a full-time Human Resources & Recruiter position at our Sarasota corporate office. We offer a good work environment with the possibility of advancement and a flexible work schedule. Come be part of a growing team!
Primary Responsibilities
-Manage the recruitment process for exempt and nonexempt employees using standard recruiting practices
-Assist with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regard to employee relations
-Provide payroll processing backup support, partnering with accounting to maintain the payroll database
-Provide day-to-day benefits administration services, assist employees with any claim issues, and maintain the benefits database
-Other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements
-Bachelors in Business Management or Human Resources Management
-General knowledge of employment laws and practices in order to comply with all existing government and legal labor law reporting requirements
-Experience in the administration of benefits, compensation programs, and reconciling benefit accounts
-Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Excel
-Effective oral and written communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
-Possess a high level of confidentiality
-Excellent organizational skills
-Human Resource certification (SHRM), bi-lingual (Spanish) and accounting experience would be a plus.
