Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Artificial Grass Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing installation sites, laying artificial grass, and ensuring all projects meet company standards for quality and efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from small residential yards to large commercial spaces.
Responsibilities:
Be a team player and willing to learn.
Prepare installation sites according to project specifications to include, but not limited to, removing grass and topsoil, loading it for removal.
Set perimeter nailing boards with stakes and screws.
Place sub-base material and compact in layers as instructed.
Cut and install artificial turf, ensuring proper fit and alignment, seaming as necessary.
Secure turf using recommended SYNLawn’s fastening method, ensuring a smooth, seamless appearance.
Add infill materials to artificial grass as required and ensure proper distribution.
Clean up the jobsite leaving it better than when you arrived.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and stored properly.
Assist in loading and unloading materials and tools from company vehicles.
Provide excellent customer service, directing clients to Crew Lead for answers.
Follow all company guidelines and safety protocols during installation and on-site work.
Collaborate with Crew Leads, Project Superintendents and Operation Manager to ensure project details and schedules are followed.
Participate in ongoing training to stay up to date with new installation techniques and product innovations.
Requirements:
High school diploma preferred or equivalent but not required; experience in landscaping or construction is a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50+ lbs., moving wheelbarrows with materials, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and landscaping equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules.
Must be available to work out of town on occasion (we cover all travel and hotel costs including money each day for food)
Must be able to speak English.
