An established family-run 11-acre organic tropical fruit farm in Palmetto, Florida, is seeking a part-time groundskeeper with strong experience in weed whacking and weeding to assist with property maintenance and farm operations.
Schedule:
2–4 days per week for an individual, or 1–2 days per week for a small team
Flexible schedule (Monday–Saturday)
Start date: as early as next week
Compensation:
$18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
Occasional farm produce may be provided as a bonus
Primary Responsibilities:
Weed whacking and weeding (must have experience and be comfortable handling equipment in Florida heat)
General grounds maintenance
Assisting the farm manager with daily projects and seasonal tasks
Responsibilities may shift throughout the year — from summer maintenance work to assisting with pasture-raised poultry processing, livestock care, and local deliveries
Qualifications:
Must be able to work outdoors 8–10 hours in Florida heat
Dependable, drug-free, and good-natured
Ability to speak and understand English
Reliable transportation required (on-site housing may become available next year)
