POSITION: Heavy Equipment Operator
LOCATION: Sarasota, FL
PAY RATE: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
WORK HOURS: 40+ hours - 2 Shifts (Overtime Available)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operates Front Loader and Forklift to load/unload material on conveyors.
Operates wheel loader to push and load materials on conveyors.
Performs pre-operation checks of equipment
Performs routine service and preventative maintenance on equipment
Assists mechanics on minor repair work on equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
Must pass pre-employment drug screening
3+ years of Front Loader Experience-Mid-Large Size Loaders
3+ years of Forklift Experience
Familiarity with OSHA Regulations and General Safety Practices
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety operating light or medium equipment.
Knowledge of the operating and repair characteristics of light or medium equipment.
Ability to service types of light or medium equipment and to make minor repairs.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Availability to work overtime when needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity and hand eye coordination-Hearing and Visual ability.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and twist at the waist
Ability to work in an airborne dust and dirt particles, with various climatic temperatures.
Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Ability to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance
Possess fast reflexes and unimpaired coordination
Ability to perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment
Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect the ability to safely and competently perform the job duties and functions
