We are currently seeking a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader who will be responsible for supervising and performing various landscaping tasks. The successful candidate will ensure that all tasks are performed safely and meet our company's quality, production, and customer service standards. This role is integral to maintaining our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesPerform and supervise landscape maintenance tasks according to contract requirements and company standards.Promote a safe work environment by understanding and modeling company safety policies and procedures.Supervise the safe operation of crew truck, trailer, and maintenance equipment.Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.Ensure that assigned crews perform tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, watering, and pruning according to schedule.Report any damaged or missing trees or plant material and communicate additional needs as appropriate.Ensure proper and timely application of fertilizers and pest control techniques.Complete and process all necessary job paperwork, including Equipment Inventory Forms, Safety Sheets, and employee Time Sheets.Interact professionally with Account Managers, subcontractors, customers, and Crew Members.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications1-2 years of experience in landscaping or related tasks.High School Diploma or GED.Experience supervising and coaching teams of 3 or more in using landscape maintenance tools and techniques.Experience maintaining and enforcing safety policies and procedures.Ability to handle the workload and physical demands of the job.Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with others.Driver’s License (Preferred).Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe role involves strenuous work in various weather conditions and exposure to elements such as dirt, water, chemicals, and noise. The job requires physical activities such as stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and walking for extended periods. It also involves reaching overhead, handling objects, and lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment.
