Job Summary:
The Renovation Start-Up Technician is responsible for performing the initial water treatment, equipment setup, and chemical balancing following a pool renovation or resurfacing. You’ll be the final touch before customers enjoy their upgraded pool.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean up after job (pressure washing area on deck work jobs)
Perform proper start-up process on newly plastered or resurfaced pools
Monitor and adjust chemical levels to meet ideal water chemistry standards
Brush and vacuum pools daily during the start-up process (typically 5–7 days)
Check and set timers, pumps, heaters, and other pool equipment
Identify and report any issues with water clarity, equipment, or surface
Communicate with project managers and clients to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications:
Experience with pool start-ups or water chemistry preferred
General knowledge of pool equipment and operations
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in Florida weather
Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
CPO certification is a plus (but not required)
