We are currently seeking a Service Shop Porter/Maintenance to join our elite team at Sunset Chevrolet!
This is a great position for someone who likes to keep busy, and contribute to a team by keeping operations running well. As work on vehicles progresses throughout the day, our shop porter ensures our shop stays clean and functional by monitoring and handling issues as they arrive. This could include proper waste disposal, restocking supplies, running floor machine, moving vehicles, and more. These activities are essential to keeping the service shop facility clean, safe, and productive throughout the day.
This is a full-time position with daytime hours, typically Monday-Friday 8 to 5, and full benefits.
Service Porter Requirements
Prior experience is helpful, but not required. We will train the right candidate. Since this position is vital to our continued productivity and success, you will need to stay on top of the responsibilities of your role and also be willing to pitch in and help to keep the team operating successfully. Some specific things we are looking for in a shop porter are:
Valid driver's license and good driving ability
Physical ability and stamina for physical work, including regular lifting
Maintenance, cleaning, or automotive background helpful, but not required
