The Manufacturing Assistant helps with production-related tasks and activities such as assembling product, filling, capping, packaging, etc based on instructions, training, and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Performs any assembly-type functions as directed and exercising independent judgment to ensure product quality by following established methods and assembly procedures.
Performs general tasks including primary packaging, secondary packaging, palletizing, loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials by following established methods and labeling procedures.
Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping cleaning, sanitation and safe work area by utilizing all cleaning and tools necessary to keep the area clean and clear of debris, safe, neat and organized.
Expected to perform all quality and production checks required by work order. They will also perform housekeeping activities for all work areas.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the production manager.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Expected to proactively identify and implement production improvements in their areas of responsibility.
Must be team player, open to new ideas and teamwork, self-motivated individual, willing to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and value.
