Sunset Kia of Venice, has Full-Time positions available for lube techs and Master Certified TechniciansThe right candidate must have basic automotive skills with inspirations to advance and be trained in the automotive repair industry,
Compensation for Master Technicians from $30.00 and up, Lube Techs starting at $18.00 per hour with room to grow
Tech Apprentice (Lube and Tire Technician):
You will start working alongside a Kia trained Lube tech who will mentor you on becoming a CERTIFIED KIA LUBE TECH.
Lube and Tire Technician duties would include the following:
Take all online Kia classes and pass test
Perform oil changes
Tire rotations
Tire repairs
Tire replacements
Perform a multi-point inspection on all vehicles
Provide a comprehensive estimate on your findings form the Multi-point inspection
Keep shop equipment in pristine condition by following operating and safety instructions at all times
Assist team in maintaining shop clean and floor free of clutter
Full Line Automotive Service Technician.
As an auto technician with Sunset Kia of Venice you are responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of customer vehicles through the following activities:
Complete preventative maintenance such as engine tune-ups,
oil changes, tire rotation and changes,
wheel balancing, replacing filters.
Listen to customer complaints and examine service advisor notes,
conduct inspections, fix engine failures, repair mechanical
and electrical system malfunctions, replace parts and components, to keep the vehicle in good working order.
Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Keep shop equipment in pristine condition by following operating and safety instructions at all times.
Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles.
Update job and product knowledge training as required by the manufacturer.
