We are a high-end RV Manufacturer in Nokomis, FL looking to add another Solid Surfaces/Corian Fabricator to our team. We have been in business for 40 years, all of which we have been family owned and operated. We build both Class-C and Class-B motorhomes on a variety of Ford and Mercedes cutaway chassis. Everything from fiberglass body fabrication, frame extensions, flooring, cabinet building, cabinet installation, upholstery, and even our exterior coach painting is done here on premises.
We specifically are looking for someone to join our Solid Surfaces Prep Shop. Each motorhome we manufacture requires at least two counter tops to be fabricated (one for the galley and one for the bathroom) and a cooktop/stove cover. In most cases, the required pieces will already have been rough cut by our Cabinet Shop using our CNC router. Templating the top of each corresponding cabinet will then be required to modify said cut pieces for exact fitment. After which the majority of the tasks will include installing the edge build-up, installing the wood core, and completing the required finish work to bring the raw finish material to a showroom-quality gloss finish. The position will also require some light plumbing including the installation of sinks, sink drains, and faucets.
All tools and person protective equipment will be provided. Applicant must be regularly familiar with the operation of basic Prep Shop tools such as drills, screw guns, sanders, buffers, glue guns, routers, tables saws, and chop saws. Applicant must be able to read a tape measure quickly and accurately. Corian fabrication experience and handyman/carpentry type skills are a plus.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am till 3:30pm with a 1/2-hour lunch from 11:30 till 12:00pm. Pay will be hourly and depend on applicant's prior experience. Benefits package includes Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Optical Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Major Holidays, and Paid Time Off.
