FORM CARPENTER – Door Hanging / Framing (Wood /Metal)
Craftsmen Contractors is hiring Form Carpenters for the Sarasota Area
Job Duties:
Responsible for the installation of structures and fixtures, including windows and molding and especially doors.
Possible to create a program/schedule for the use of materials and associated equipment for carpentry work.
Responsible for operating electrical, air-powered, and regular hand tools during projects.
Cut metal and wood framing for hanging of doors.
Responsible for carrying out general construction labor tasks directed but super on site.
Provide support with fabrication during projects.
Job Requirements:
Helpful to be able to read blueprints.
Must be proficient in measuring and cutting, because the pre-made form sizes don’t always match the exact structure dimensions.
May need to construct fillers to bridge the gaps.
Must have at least 3 years of Form Carpentry (Door framing & hanging) experience.
Must have basic hand tools, ALL PPE and reliable transportation to get to job site.
Must have a working knowledge of the various methods used to assemble all major types of forms.
Must be comfortable working at small heights.
