Mechanically-inclined, quick learner needed to join our established, large, busy golf car sales and service dealership. We specialize in E-Z-GO, ICON, EPIC, Club Car and Yamaha golf cars (both electric and gas), as well as customization, street legal conversion, and more!
JOB SUMMARY:
Customize golf carts according to customer requests. Complete work order in auto dealership software (Tekmetric). Work closely with the sales and service departments to ensure carts are built to specs, parts are ordered and delivery deadlines are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Install/remove golf car bodies, lift kits, tires, windshields, mirrors, seats, roofs, weather enclosures, and other accessories, etc., at the store or occasionally on site.
Electrical work such as removing and installing stereos, lights, horns, back up cameras, etc.
Disassemble and rebuild golf cars, to include identifying parts to replace, installing parts according to the work order specifications
Work closely with the sales and service staff to adhere to delivery schedule for golf cars purchased
Follow and complete work orders in Tekmetric, to track customization completed
Program carts with a computer
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and comprehend manufacturer’s schematics, service manuals, parts catalogs
Operation of the following: golf car, air impact, hand held tools, golf car programmers
Must be able to work full-time and have reliable transportation
Must be detail oriented, efficient and able to manage service work on multiple golf cars.
It is helpful to possess your own tools, but not mandatory.
Must be able to push a non-running golf car onto and off a trailer and into the service area
Must be able to lift 60 pounds repeatedly (batteries, motors, etc.), tolerate loud noises and work in outdoor weather condition.
Must be drug-free; a drug test will be conducted on the final candidate and we reserve the right to randomly drug test
