Hughes Trim LLC is looking for Experienced Finish Carpenters that are Subcontractors with entities in good standing with the State of Florida. We are looking to establish a long-term working relationship and welcome you to partner with us and apply your skills and expertise into this great opportunity!
Hughes Trim provides High Quality installation of:
- Exterior Doors
- Finish Trim Carpentry
- Stair Systems
SUMMARY OF JOBS:
- Subcontractor should possess a significant understanding of Interior Finish carpentry and provide high quality workmanship.
- Experienced in New Construction Residential - Interior Trim Carpentry (Installation)
- Experienced in New Construction Residential - Turnkey Stairs Carpentry (Installation)
- Is a great communicator - able to report job matters to the Hughes Trim Project Manager during installs and regarding missing material when necessary. Will partner with the Project Manager to ensure the job is done correctly the first time and will complete in a timely manner as this is what the builders require.
-Focus on quality over production - will install within our timeframe focusing on quality so that you will be known as the best trim sub any builder has seen.
-Will be on time and follow the weekly schedule that is sent out.
- For Trim Carpentry position – ability to install doors 6ft and 8ft, crown molding, stairs (open rail and tunnel), a great all around trim carpenter
- For Turnkey Stairs Carpentry position – ability to install skirts, caps risers. open rail, and wood treads, a great all around stair carpenter
TRIM CARPENTRY:
-Jobs pay by the total living sq. ft. Prices range per home depending on what upgrades are installed. Example upgrades include wood sills, crown molding, stair systems, etc.
-Homes pay between .27 to .50 per sq. ft. depending what all goes into the home. Example: Crown molding, Window sills, attic ladder, columns and so on. This price point includes trim 1, trim 2 and final after carpet. Three trips.
-Exterior doors and stair systems pay separately.
-Most of the crews average 3-5 homes per week.
-Subcontractors earn on average between $1,500 and $3,500 depending on capability (more for larger crews).
TURNKEY STAIRS:
This is for post-to-post type systems.
Oak treads / Open miter oak treads / Open rail.
We use Sure-Tight fasteners on all stair systems.
Prices vary on type of stair system:
· Oak rail systems with Iron Balusters $22.00
· Oak rail systems with Wood Balusters drilled bottom dowel $26.00
· Oak tread & riser (open miter skirt return one side) $30.00
· Oak tread & riser (open miter skirt return both sides) $45.00

Requirements:
