Read and interpret blueprints
-Hang duct work
-Install dampers, vav boxes, and air handlers
-Troubleshoot problems
-Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and codes
Must have your own tools and reliable transportation!
Basic Tools: tongs, snips, hammers, tape, marker, pliers
Understand and apply all mechanical codes for duct installation.
Properly install/hang air handlers and exhaust fans.
Properly install square, round and oval ductwork and accessories dampers, louvers, etc.
Properly insulate duct per project specifications.
Take field measurements of ductwork based on drawings and field conditions
