Experienced certified/registered Medical Assistant, looking for someone who has worked Electronic Medical Records, Understanding of Medent. Able to start right away. Can handle high patient volume. Duties would include Rooming, discharge, maintaining of Electronic Medical Records, Prescriptions, Assisting the Doctor, Some Front office duties and cross covering responsibilities
MUST have a positive attitude, professional demeanor and excellent attendance ALL THREE REQUIRED!
Responsibilities
rooming patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart
Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician
Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
complete prescription refills and prior authorizations
Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and

Medical assistants must have knowledge of:
Healthcare field and medical specialty
Medical terminology
Knowledge of EHRs Preferably Medent
Skills
Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
Ability to administer injections, perform CLIA waived tests and perform EKG's.
Education
High school diploma
Medical Assistant education and Certification A MUST
