GENERAL

Under the direction and guidance of the FBO Manager, the Line Service Technician is responsible for a safe, compliant and efficient operations for aircraft fueling, ground handling, customer service, and facilities maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Line Service Technician shall be required to:

Maintain a high level of appearance along with customer service to exceed industry standards.

Complete Airport FBO, SIDA, and driving training courses.

Maintain daily record keeping as assigned.

Work weekly schedules, nights, weekends and holidays.

Assist in the preventative maintenance (daily checks), cleanliness and proper storage of all aircraft and FBO ground support equipment. Equipment shall be maintained to exceed industry standards.

Maintain cleanliness and light-duty maintenance of all aircraft parking and tie-down areas.

Perform janitorial and light-duty maintenance of the FBO Terminal and all associated facilities utilized by the FBO operations.

Operate all aircraft fueling operations per FAA, ATA, and NFPA requirements and standards.

Assist in the operations and maintenance of all bulk fuel storage systems.

Perform the daily maintenance and cleaning of mobile fueling equipment.

Perform the daily fuel quality testing and record results for all vended fuels.

Assist in the bulk fuel storage and associated products inventory.

Fuel Aircraft: 100LL and Jet Fuel

Tow aircraft: Ramp and Hangar towing.

Perform the cleaning of the FBO's rental car fleet when needed.

Assist with the daily functions of the customer service counter.

Perform mowing, trimming and overall upkeep of all landscaped areas around the FBO Terminal, and hangar buildings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

General/ Commercial aircraft and servicing techniques preferred but not required.

Aircraft fueling and ground handling techniques preferred but not required.

Fuel bulk fuel storage equipment and systems preferred but not required.

FBO operations preferred but not required but not required.

Aircraft operation and procedures preferred but not required.

Aviation and ground base radio systems preferred but not required

Skills in:

Operating aircraft ground handling equipment preferred but not required. Large truck and heavy-duty equipment operation preferred but not required.

Two-way radio communications and techniques preferred but not required.

Ability to:

Work unsupervised and independently.

Operate all types of equipment associated with aircraft fueling operations, aircraft ground handling operations preferred but not required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school education or equivalent required.

Must be 18 years of age.

FBO line service experience preferred but not required.

Valid Florida Drivers License (out of state hires need to switch over to FL DL within 30-days)

WORKING CONDITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

Day shifts, nights, weekends and holidays required.

Overtime as assigned.

All weather conditions. Extreme hot temperature expected.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift heavy objects expected during daily job function(s).
