Operates the plasma cutting machine to cut parts according to customer specs.
Must be able to operate and set up conventional or numerical control machines
Monitor equipment performance and adjust as needed.
Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, program the burn table, load material.
Inspect the finished product for accuracy and quality.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior knowledge of metal cutting processes and equipment
Must have good math skills including understanding of fractions and angles.
Ability to accurately read tape measure and angle finder.
Ability to read blueprints and cut lists.
