About AMF:

AMF specializes in coatings for aluminum consisting of hardcoat and regular anodize, chemical conversion coating / chem film (both hexavalent and trivalent), as well as electropolish and passivation for stainless steel alloys. AMF processes and services are performed and in compliance with military and commercial specifications and requirements.

We are looking for a Waste Treatment/Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Job Summary:

Responsible for equipment maintenance for chemical plating and waste treatment systems as well general facilities.

- Is experienced in preventative maintenance procedures and reporting.

- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Items included in systems and facilities maintenance:

- Wastewater treatment system including water clarifier and solid waste filter press.

- Electric pump systems for chemicals and water.

- Basic Hydraulic pumps.

- Chemical / liquid filter systems.

- PVC plumbing.

- Electrical wiring and installation including pumps and controllers.

- Basic carpentry skills.

- Basic HVAC.

- Basic welding.

- Basic concrete and block.

- Small pumps for pH controls.

- Equipment calibration methods.

- Provides assistance to other departments as needed.

- Plans and performs preventative maintenance and related tasks.

Experience and Qualifications:

- A High School diploma or GED is required.

- Has a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar factory production environment performing the above-listed duties.

- Related certifications or licenses are a plus.

- Previous forklift training and experience are a plus.

- Previous overhead crane/hoist operating experience is a plus.

- Previous experience working in an ISO-regulated company is a plus.

- Has valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.

Physical Requirements:

- Stands for long periods of time in an un-airconditioned manufacturing and warehouse environment.

- Temperatures in the work environment may fluctuate with outside weather and processing conditions.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Regularly lifts, loads, or carries mechanical parts.

- Is often exposed to wet/humid conditions, chemical fumes, or airborne particles.

- Noise levels are usually moderate but if exceeded, hearing protection is required.

- Use of personal safety equipment is required when necessary (goggles, gloves, respirators, hearing protection, etc.).
