Airfield Electrician Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Airfield Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing airfield lighting, electrical systems, and related infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations. The electrician will be responsible for performing all electrical maintenance and repairs as outlined in the contract, ensuring the proper functionality of airfield electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records while complying with all FAA regulations.
Qualifications of Airfield Electrician:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an airfield electrician.
Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair airfield lighting and electrical systems, including runway and taxiway lights, signage, and control systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
Knowledge of FAA regulations, NEC codes, and safety standards.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Experience with underground conduit and high-voltage systems is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the operations and maintenance teams.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably Maintenance Connection
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor work on the airfield.
Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as needed.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, or in other challenging environments, as required.
Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Additional Requirements:
Must have PPE, including steel-toe work boots, hard hat, gloves, high-visibility vest, and protective eyewear.
Must have standard electrical hand tools.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
