Our firm has been providing AABC certified Test & Balance services to owners, contractors and engineering firms since 1993. Our office is located on Merritt Island. We are currently in need of a Technician for the Central and East Coast of Florida. We will consider training a qualified person.
We provide our services for a variety of facilities, Hospitals, Office Buildings, Space Center, Airforce Bases, therefore professional appearance and conduct must be maintained. Some projects are tested during the construction phases so PPE will be required when necessary. Most work is performed M-F 7:00 to 3:30 although there are instances where evening or weekend work may be required. We are a Test & Balance Firm; we do not install or repair equipment.
Applicants must have the following.
Valid Florida Drivers License.
Reliable insured transportation.
Transportation must be able to secure our instrumentation.
Able to pass a background check.
Interest and aptitude for technical work and problem solving.
Basic computer skills.
Duties will include.
Reading Blueprints.
Possess and secure our instrumentation.
Utilize instrumentation to measure airflow & waterflow.
Use computer interface to communicate with building HVAC controls.
Climb ladders to access equipment and devices.
Adjust dampers and/or valves to deliver the engineered airflow or waterflow requirements.
Document test results on computer forms provided by us.
Compensation will include.
Entry level trainee $17.00 per hour, technician pay commensurate to experience. Paid weekly.
Reimburse fuel cost based on vehicle MPG, price per gallon and miles traveled. Paid monthly or weekly.
Reimburse tolls. Paid monthly or weekly.
$25.00 per day for personal vehicle usage. Paid monthly.
1 week paid vacation after the first year of employment, 2 weeks paid vacation after the second year of employment.
