The Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing residential and/or commercial roofing systems. The role involves a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, patching leaks, replacing damaged shingles, sealing areas prone to moisture, and performing routine maintenance. The technician must have a strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work at heights.
Key Responsibilities: Perform repairs on various roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal, tile, flat roofs, and others. Tasks may include replacing broken shingles, sealing leaks, patching holes, or replacing damaged flashing.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including using fall protection equipment, securing ladders, and adhering to OSHA standards.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in roofing repair or construction; hands-on experience with various roofing materials is highly preferred.
Should be proficient with hand tools, power tools, and other roofing equipment.
Ability to identify different types of roofing issues and apply appropriate repair techniques.
Knowledge of building codes, roofing materials, and construction safety practices.
License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Knowledge of: Asphalt shingles, slate, tile, metal roofing, and flat roofing systems.
Experience with: Commercial and residential roofing repair.
