he Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes and standards. This position requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare ingredients, sauces, and menu items consistently following recipes and portion guidelines.
Cook food accurately on the grill, sauté, fry, or prep stations as assigned.
Ensure food presentation meets restaurant standards.
Maintain proper temperature control and food safety practices at all times.
Station Management
Set up and stock the line with necessary supplies before each shift.
Keep workstation clean, organized, and sanitized throughout service.
Follow proper storage, labeling, and rotation procedures (FIFO).
Assist with inventory, prep lists, and daily production tasks.
Teamwork & Communication
Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Work efficiently during busy periods and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Support teammates and assist with additional tasks when needed.
Cleaning & Safety
Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations at the end of each shift.
Report any equipment issues or shortages to management.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous line cook experience preferred but not required (training can be provided).
Strong understanding of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
Ability to follow detailed recipes and portion guidelines.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
