The job requires the individual to have journey-person status and the ability to teach. The heavy equipment that will be taught includes backhoe loaders, articulated loaders, bulldozers, excavators, laser surveying, and GPS. Previous teaching experience and a Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) are considered a plus.
Some other essential qualifications for this position include:
Knowledge of construction projects, plans, profiles, and grade
Knowledge of construction safety procedures and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards
Effective verbal and written communication skills
An accredited high school diploma (HSD) or GED (General Education Diploma)
Computer literacy
Having a CDL and supervisory experience is preferred for this role.
