Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team, located in St Petersburg, Florida. The role involves handling various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and timely. Conduct bank reconciliations to verify our financial records are correct. Maintain the general ledger by posting and balancing financial and operational data. Prepare journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Conduct month-end close procedures to ensure all accounting tasks are completed within the stipulated timeframe. Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial reports. Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounting procedures. Comply with all financial policies and regulations. Requirements Must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP) Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations is compulsory Knowledge of General Ledger is essential Ability to handle Journal Entries is necessary Experience with Month End Close is mandatory Proficiency in using NetSuite is required Hands-on experience with Oracle software is essential Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks is required Must have experience with SAP software.
