Description We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team located in Stuart, Florida. This role requires a professional who is comfortable building accounting processes from the ground up, given this is a new location for our company. The Accounting Manager will be instrumental in shaping the financial infrastructure of our business and will work directly with the CFO. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Key responsibilities: Establish and manage the accounting processes for a new site Employ strong knowledge of WIP (work in Process) job cost accounting with labor and material Use tech-savviness to assist the company in migrating from a basic ERP to a more robust ERP system in the future Manage GL maintenance and set up the chart of accounts Apply strong financial analysis skills and conduct financial consolidation across multiple entities Prepare financial reports and communicate them to the board Be a hands-on resource willing to perform basic accounting to presentation to the board of directors Work on-site for 5 days a week Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Billing Functions, QuickBooks, Job Cost, WIP - Work In Progress Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Extensive knowledge of accounting functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven experience in auditing Ability to manage billing functions Proficiency in QuickBooks Experience in Job Cost and WIP - Work In Progress Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a plus.
