This is an Administrative Assistant I position working within the Division of Water Resource Management (DWRM)
This position is necessary to provide customer service to the State of Florida as well as the employees within the Division of Water Resource Management.
This position will work within DWRM, providing assistance to Compliance & Enforcement, and the Stormwater & Technical Services Programs
The primary responsibilities of this position will be, completing travel documentation, purchasing, meeting coordination, reviewing documentation, clerking, answering phones, performing other administrative duties as required

Your Specific Responsibilities:
In carrying out the duties of this position, the incumbent is expected at all times to be aware of and abide by the Department's Standard of Conduct, as well as any and all departmental and/or work unit rules, directives, policies, procedures, and/or general orders applicable to performing the duties of this position.
Independently assists the staff in providing analysis, research and support on a variety of administrative and clerical matters for the program. Create, organize and maintain complex files, sets up new files, ensures accuracy of filing data. Maintains information for program management files and policies. Assists staff and the public in researching and retrieving files and data.
Coordinates all program monthly reports, budget, travel, purchases including all purchasing card approvals ensuring that required documents are properly completed and submitted to Finance and Accounting in a timely manner. Follows up on further actions that ma1 be required. Identifies and manages program inventory of properties.
Reviews correspondence and specific items that require action for assigning and tracking section tasks and due dates and recommend response, review or other action. Serves as a department clerk for Final Agency Actions when needed.
Provides routine assistance to supervisor and management staff that includes setting up meetings, copying, typing or compiling a variety of technical documents, reviewing forms/draft documents, and mailing. Proos, correcting grammar, spelling and punctuation as necessary. Inserts program documents into Oculus as needed.
Performs other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of correctly written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
Required or Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Driver License is required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred: AA Degree
Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent, and/or 2 years of verifiable related work experience, as described in this posting.
Preferred: Being able to take directions from more than one supervisor.
Preferred: Knowledge of combining documents into a PDF.
Preferred: Knowledge of working with excel documents.
