This advertisement is for a SES (Selected Exempt Service) position located at Central Office in Programs and Re-Entry. Salary: $73,966.10 Annual Rate SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises the implementation and planning of the training, program development, curriculum alignment and final programmatic/budget evaluation reporting for all Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
Responsible for all aspects of the federal Perkins CTE grant administration including development of budget and programmatic narrative, spending plan, implementation design and compliance documentation. Liaises with the Florida Department of Education program staff to ensure CTE program standards meet state requirements.
Approves the final reporting document that compiles the assessed needs of the inmate population and finalizes the researched recommendations for new CTE programs that can be adopted to include programs that produce industry standard certifications and stackable credentials.
Collects, evaluates, and analyzes data on new or existing programs to determine recommendations for adoption, improvement or elimination, promoting the most efficient and effective accomplishment of operational objectives. Evaluates programs to ensure seamless delivery of services to the inmate population.
Initiates and maintains communication with the Department of Commerce and the associated Workforce Development Boards for collaboration and/or partnerships opportunities that will benefit the inmates as they transition from incarceration to the community.
Liaises with fiscal and contract monitoring efforts to ensure funds are being spent appropriately. Handles special assignments and projects requiring research, writing and coordination within the Bureau of Education. Conducts fact-finding research in order to improve operational activities.
Prepares responses/reports to the general public, and the Departments Executive Staff; represents the Department as required; and serves as a liaison with the Department of Education for CTE programming.
Supervises staff to ensure industry credentials and completion certificates are processed and issued as directed by the certifying agencies.
Provides technical assistance to the field.
Communicates with Central Office staff and colleagues, motivates, provides training, evaluates employees work, plans and directs the employees work, and has authority to hire or recommend the hire, transfer or discipline of subordinate employees.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License.
Five (5) years of Career/Technical Education program experience.
