Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Skill in updating legacy applications to service-oriented architecture.
2. Knowledge of design patterns, performance issues and troubleshooting strategies.
3. Knowledge of development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
4. Skilled in the use of multiple development technologies including Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET/MVC, WCF/WebAPI, SQL Server, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Durandal, Knockout, and others), REST, XML, JSON, HTML, Python, and CSS.
5. Skilled in working with custom frameworks and templates.
6. Skill in architecting and deploying high volume, high transaction based, distributed and redundant web applications.
7. Skill with Microsoft SQL and other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) including Oracle.
8. Skilled in verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service.
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment.
10. Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team.
11. Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions.
12. Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement.
13. Ability to architect cloud-based applications leveraging PaaS (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) offerings for leading vendors such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
14. Ability to lead technical teams in delivering web technology architecture, design, and implementation.
15. Ability to effectively work as part of a distributed development team.
16. Ability to display professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff.
17. Ability to exhibit creativity and resourcefulness at problem solving while collaborating and working effectively with others across varied disciplines.
18. Knowledge of OOP (Object Oriented Programming) concepts.

Experience
1. Five (5)+ years as a lead developer.
2. Eight (8) + years of broad experience working with development technologies including Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET/MVC, WCF/WebAPI, SQL Server, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Durandal, Knockout, etc.), REST, XML, JSON, HTML, Python, GIS Frameworks, and CSS.
3. Experience with Scrum, SAFe, DAD, or other agile approach, highly desired.
4. Candidates with resumes reflecting extensive experience in updating legacy applications to service-oriented architecture will be given preference.
