Job DescriptionThis highly rewarding role will offer the opportunity for you to leverage your knowledge and skills with ERP Cloud and Public Sector knowledge and work in unison with Oracle’s best field sales executives, solving complex customer problems and translating customer requirements into delivered functional solutions – a critical role in driving the continued success of Oracle’s Cloud Applications in North America.Role Overview: We are looking for an individual who has experience with ERP solutions with a strong Accounting (Government strongly desired) background. As an acknowledged authority within Oracle, a Solution Engineer has a breadth of knowledge and understanding of solutions, industry best practices and broad business processes. Solution Engineers collaborate with the multi-pillar sales team to design innovative solutions that have industry-wide impact. As a Solution Engineer you will work with a team of sales representatives focusing on developing account roadmaps, deal strategies, and then help on executing against both. This includes driving requirements gathering, helping with qualifying opportunities, assisting with RFP/Proposal efforts, creating win themes, coordinating pre-sales resources, delivering presentations at various levels up to and including the C level, as well as other selling events. Position is remote, but a resource based in the Western United States is preferred.Career Level - IC3ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities: Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying Oracle solutions to client business challenges. Facilitation of customer solution understanding through meetings, presentations, and demonstrations throughout the sales cycle. As a Solution Engineer, you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads or supports all aspects of the sales process. Technical thought leadership and innovation on the Cloud ERP/EPM platformAdditional Job Requirements: Very strong verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required Experience in Governmental Accounting is preferred. Experience in Essbase ASO cubes, Build/Enhance Hyperion Financial Reports and supporting EPM suite. Experience with Public Sector ERP solutions. Accounting degree or Major in Accounting preferred CPA Certification a plus Based in the Western United StatesSkills: Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Industries experience is preferred: Public Sector 3-year pre-sales or other related experience. 7 years business experience with relevant business applications. High-level understanding of all aspects of ERP: Financials, Procure to Pay, Plan to Build, Quote to Cash, Projects and Grants, Reporting, Data Quality. EPM or Supply Chain desired, too Thorough knowledge of system and application design & In-depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Travel as needed, up to 50% A/BS in Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
