The Automation Engineer will support MindPoint Group’s clients with assessment, recommendation, testing, proof of concept, recommendation, and implementation of automation tools supporting security assessment, remediation, and reporting. Youwill work in both Linux and Windows environments, in legacy and cloud implementations, to automate security using both STIG and CIS baselines using modern automation and management tools, including Ansible, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes.What you get to do every day:Support clients in the implementation of systems and automation in cloud environments

Baseline existing environment, technology, cybersecurity business processes

Develop and implement security automation solutions and tools to rapidly and accurately patch and report for all hosts in the enterprise

Create training and documentation for advanced automation implementations

Support client discovery of new automation opportunities

Work with MindPoint Group Automation Engineering Team to identify new technologies to improve client operations

US Citizenship requiredWhat skills do you need?Experience with automation and management tools, including Ansible, Helm, Terraform, Kubernetes, Puppet, or Chef

Experience with Microsoft Office tools and Atlassian tools functional abilities

4+ years experience with Git, GitLab, or GitHub and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with Vault, PKI, and Active Directory for credential/identity management

Experience with leveraging OAuth REST APIs to communicate with XML and JSON-based systems.

What is ideal?Understanding of FedRamp program requirements

AWS Solution Architect or related certification or commensurate experience

Experience with modern programming languages, such as Python, Go, PowerShell, and JavaScript

Experience in systems administration in Linux and Microsoft operating systems desired

Knowledge of ELK stack, Consul, Grafana, or other dashboarding tools, as well as custom report generation desired

Splunk, Sumo Logic, or other SIEM system knowledge desired

Knowledge of both relational and nosql database reporting/queries desired

Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $105-130k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
