The successful candidate will manage and maintain enterprise-level databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability, while also providing second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network communication issues.Major Functions:The Database Administrator/Technical Support Analyst oversees the design, configuration, maintenance, security, backup, and recovery of databases. They are responsible for ensuring database systems run optimally with scalability and performance in mind. The position also provides advanced technical support for diagnosing and resolving network communication issues, supporting data communications. Additionally, this role plays a key part in cross-training and collaboration with systems administrators, working closely with other teams to implement workflow procedures and database enhancements.Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Ability to install, troubleshoot, and manage hardware and software in a Windows environment.

Experience in Technical Support, Customer Service, Systems Administration, Report Writing, Dashboarding, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Experience providing technical support and customer service.

Ability to provide backup assistance for various technical roles as needed.

Experience creating, updating, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for database administration and technical support processes.

Desirable Qualifications:

Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including database design, development, and administration.

Knowledge of data communications and network troubleshooting.

Proven ability to provide technical support for enterprise-level systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to mentor staff, manage projects, and provide exceptional customer service.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, with at least four years of experience in database administration or a combination of experience and training.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in SQL database management, including T-SQL, SSRS, and database performance tuning.

Ability to diagnose and resolve network communication issues.

Technical support skills for both hardware and software.

Advanced customer service capabilities, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues.

Administer SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery.

Develop T-SQL statements, stored procedures, and views, and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.

Maintain and manage database backup strategies and disaster recovery plans for mission-critical applications.

Ensure adherence to change management procedures for all database and environment modifications.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance database workflows and improve system efficiencies.

Provide guidance and support to junior staff and ensure staff training aligns with industry trends and technology developments.

Foster customer service relationships with both internal and external clients.
