Job Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service at the point of sale.
Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using a cash register or POS system.
Issue receipts, refunds, or change as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.
Bag, box, or package purchases for customers.
Keep track of cash drawers, ensuring accurate balances at the beginning and end of each shift.
Report any discrepancies or issues to management immediately.
Assist with restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience for customers.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs.
Dependability and punctuality.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
