Requirements: • Experience working with a large (2,500 user or more) network environment (required); • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Enterprise Firewalls (required); • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Enterprise WAN environments (required); • Experience troubleshooting in both WAN and LAN environments (required); • Experience working with MyFloridaNet (MFN) and the State Division of Telecommunications (required); • Experience with command line configuration (required); • Experience working in a criminal justice environment; • Experience with Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches; • Experience with MyFloridaNet (MFN) configuration and design; • Experience configuring and applying best practices to CheckPoint FW / IPS; • Experience with Kiwi CatTools, Aruba Clearpass / Airwave; • Experience with HP/ Aruba, Cisco switches; • Experience designing and deploying Network Access Control via Aruba Clearpass; • Experience mapping remote LANs, and creating detailed documentation, MS Visio; • Experience with VoIP systems configuration, troubleshooting, and QoS; • Experience designing wireless networks with an emphasis on security, creating Heat Maps, troubleshooting RF interference; • Experience researching, developing and supporting network monitoring tools similar to Cacti, SolarWinds; • Experience with Linux system administration; • Experience programming in Python, C, and PowerShell scripting; • Experience with state government projects; • Experience using Offender Based Information System (OBIS); • Experience with IT standards in a criminal justice environment; • Experience working with CSAB ordering processes; • Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or 4 years of equivalent work experience (required). Responsibilities- • Diagnose and resolve problems across a variety of hardware platforms and vendors including Cisco, Juniper, F5, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and more; • Communicating and working within cross-departmental teams; • Identify automation opportunities as well as areas that can be improved to optimize the operation, such as documentation and monitoring adjustments; • Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation; • Work with Data Center staff, OIT, and users to perform server installations, upgrades, and configuration changes; • Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
