Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of garage doors and related systems. This role requires mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work on construction sites. The Garage Door Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of garage door systems, including troubleshooting, fabrication, and installation tasks across various projects.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain garage doors, openers, and related hardware with precision and safety.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete installations and repairs.
Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
Perform trim carpentry, and fixture installation as needed.
Conduct glass installation, caulking, or frame carpentry for custom projects.
Handle heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Fabricate custom components or modifications based on project specifications.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues with garage door systems using mechanical knowledge and electrical experience.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all work complies with safety standards.
Requirements
Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, fabrication techniques, and mechanical systems.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
Valid Drivers License
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
Construction site experience is preferred; familiarity with remodeling projects is advantageous.
