Key Responsibilities:
1. Bookkeeping and Accounting:
o Maintain accurate financial records.
o Manage daily accounting tasks including transactions, reconciliations, and ledger entries.
2. Financial Statement Preparation/Review:
o Prepare financial statements that summarize the firm’s financial position.
o Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
3. Tax Preparation:
o Prepare and file tax returns.
o Assist with tax planning and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. QuickBooks Experience:
o Online Required: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential, as it’s a key tool the firm uses for managing accounts.
o Desktop Preferred: While QuickBooks Desktop experience is preferred, it is not mandatory but could be beneficial.
2. Financial Statement Preparation/Review:
o Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure they reflect the true financial status of the firm.
3. Tax Preparation:
o Experience with preparing and filing tax returns, understanding of tax laws and regulations.
