PMB Property Improvements, one of Tampa Bay's fastest growing remodeling companies is looking for a Director of Operations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Operations to oversee our construction projects and optimize our operational processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Oversight: Lead and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient execution and collaboration among project managers and site supervisors.
Resource Allocation: Manage labor, materials, and equipment effectively to optimize project efficiency and productivity.
Budget Management: Control project costs, approve budgets, and implement strategies to ensure profitability.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, managing expectations and ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Negotiate contracts, maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, and oversee their schedules and payments.
Payment Management: Ensure timely collection of payments from customers to maintain cash flow and financial stability.
Permitting Process Oversight: Manage the permitting process, ensuring all necessary permits are obtained in compliance with local regulations and project timelines.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards to promote a safe working environment.
Operational Strategy: Develop and implement processes and procedures for efficient project execution, focusing on continuous improvement.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction project management, budgeting, and operational processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations, including permitting processes.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
