Assistant Teachers are responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of a class of children between the ages of 12 months and six years. Alegria Montessori has a one year old program (12 months - 2 years), a toddler program (2 - 3 years), and a preschool program (3 years – 6 years) on the main campus. Assistant Teachers must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the school’s educational philosophy. Additionally, Assistant Teachers must be flexible and have a can-do attitude!
Assistant Teachers must have a minimum of a High School Diploma and have experience with children. All course study and experience will be verified. CPR and first aid certified are preferred. This qualification is not required but applicants must be willing to obtain certifications.
