Job Overview: Full Time and Part Time Positions Available
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. Each OCS teacher must be a follower of Christ who agrees with the OCS Statement of Faith, Conduct, and Ideology, and who possesses the following:
Joy in the Lord as a born-again believer with a pleasant, vibrant, inviting demeanor.
A love for learning (personally), and a desire to continually grow and improve.
An ability to create an engaging, intentional, and curiosity-inspiring learning environment with clear and consistent expectations.
An agreement with and support of OCS's purpose, mission, vision, and philosophy of education.
A love for and knowledge of God’s word that binds together all your other teaching.
American patriotism and a commitment to fully espousing the founding ideals of our nation.
Ability to help students build strong foundational skills to the point of mastery, and then, to seek to pass the responsibility for learning and the studio/classroom with you as the “coach” rather than the “sage on the stage.”
This could be the perfect position for you if:
You have been a project manager, tour guide, or homeschool co-op leader
You have Classical, Montessori, or non-traditional teaching experience
You have traditional teaching experience, but are disenchanted with “the norm” and believe there is a better and more enjoyable way for children to learn
You have other experience and knowledge that has prepared you for this position
We seek personable people with drive, passion, initiative, collaboration skills, and a strong work ethic.
Further details:
You will teach/guide approximately 15-20 learners toward independence in a similar-aged peer group (K-1, 2-5, 6-8, or 9-12). You will be provided the tools for facilitating the development of a classroom-studio culture of hard work, high standards, warmth, and joy. We are passionate about helping our students learn to pursue what is good, beautiful, and true, passing on what truly matters to the current, and next generations.
Montessori experience is a plus, but not required.
We are seeking to fill both full-time (7:30 am – 3:35 pm) and part-time (20 hours per week with a set schedule to be determined) positions for the 2025-2026 school year; ability to start immediately during the 2024-2025 school year for on-the-job training is preferred. Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications; full-time positions are salaried, while part-time positions are typically an hourly wage
