Overall Job Summary: The Department Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. The Department Supervisor will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.This position reports to our Department Manager or Store Manager (based on volume) and has the following direct reports: dotted line to Sales Advisor(s).Your Day to Day Sales and ProfitTogether with the store management team, ensure store operations, H&M standards, and best practices are followed through proper scheduling to maximize conversion and enable commercial activities (Move, Sales, Events, etc.) and excellent customer service keeping within the sales budget of allocated hours.Ensure H&M Customer Service standards are always delivered through active coaching and leading by exampleEnsure the maintenance of the sales floor is managed in a cost-efficient way to meet H&M standards and initiate actions accordingly with the store management teamPerform all store routines, including the opening and closing of the store, following all Company practices and proceduresEnsure that the truck is processed and follow up to ensure the execution according to guidelinesActively prevent loss and ensure the store follows appropriate safety and security guidelinesIdentify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and sales with the Department Manager and then execute changes accordingly People and TeamsEnsure clear communication to Store team on business performance, company culture, training focuses through daily Behind the Seams Meetings and participating in leadership meetingsMay be assigned overall store responsibility in absence of Store Manager or Department Manager when opening or closing storeWork with timekeeping and scheduling system as part of opening/closing routinesMay be asked to train other supervisors as well as complete projects on an as needed basis for their developmentServe as a note taker for staff interviews when neededAct as a management witness, on behalf of H&M, in employee discussions as neededEnsure that all employee issues are immediately brought to the attention of management teamAssist the management team in the day-to-day supervision of staff by directing and overseeing workflow within the storeAssist the management team with the training and developing of Sales Advisors on the operational side of the business by following up on clear goals and providing timely feedbackEnsure health & safety, legal, and security issues are being handled to H&M standards and local laws, securing the employee and customer safety at all timesStrengthen our Company Culture by promoting feedback in our daily work and coach your team to do the same Financial AccountabilityNone

  • Summary Serves as an Operations Supervisor in a terminal, responsible for planning and directing operations within delegated areas of responsibility. Provides first line supervision to a team of Developmental and Certified Professional Controllers. Responsibilities Supervises a staff of Air Traffic Control Specialists that is responsible for carrying out air traffic control assignments within a geographic area. Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinate employees. Sets work priorities and schedules. Approves leave; gives advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Evaluates performance of employees and recommends performance ratings. Hears and resolves complaints from employees and refers group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher level manager. Identifies and arranges for developmental and other training needs of employees. Finds ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed. Adjusts staffing levels and work procedures to accommodate resource decisions made at higher levels. Recommends goals and objectives for the area and tracks accomplishments. Communicates and reinforces diversity and EEO policies and programs in all areas of responsibility, including selections, training, and transfers. Supports and participates in the labor management partnership process, and fosters a work environment where all employees are treated in a fair and equitable manner. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters positions for at least 1 year (52 weeks); or 2) Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an ATS facility; (Note: an employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position, since he or she has been performing the higher-graded work; or 3) Must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility.
