Job Description

The Director of Product Pricing will serve as a key member of the finance team and will report directly to the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis. The Director of Product Pricing will develop and execute comprehensive packaging and pricing strategies across the product portfolio. This hands-on role requires advanced quantitative and analytical skills combined with the ability to see the bigger picture. This role must be extremely detail and deadline oriented and have exceptional internal and external communication skills. This position will interact with all levels of management, including the C-Suite and Board of Directors. Advanced Excel and automation skills are required for this position.

• Own monetization, packaging, and pricing strategy including framing strategic considerations, creating potential solutions, analyzing options, collaborating with senior executives, incorporating industry learnings and driving towards decisions
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research to test strategy hypotheses on packaging & pricing
• Utilize multi-point market inputs to design revenue maximizing strategies
• Solicit strategy input from internal stakeholders, including product managers, marketing managers, account executives, sales engineers, customer service, and professional services groups
• Draw conclusions from product and feature usage patterns
• Persuasively communicate your findings and recommendations to all levels of management through clear presentations and mastery of the qualitative factors that complement your analyses
• Understand sales dynamics, incentives, and opportunities. Know what it’s like to be on the front line of a deal including how to conduct value-based selling and understand negotiating strategies. This role may interact directly with customers.
• Perform financial analysis and develop pricing models to determine the profitability of new product initiatives, new partner arrangements, and dynamic customer terms
• Work closely with the VP Sales Operations to drive pricing strategy execution and to report on results
• Work closely with the VP Business Systems to develop and implement automation and process improvement
• Deliver content creation and packaging training as needed within the organization
• Work on special projects as assigned by the CEO, CFO, and VP FP&A

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in pricing and packaging, strategy development and execution, sales operations, marketing, or finance
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Advanced Salesforce.com skills
• Excellent customer relations skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers both internal and external
• Strong leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

• MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
• Experience working in a Private Equity owned business
• HCIT or software technology industry experience preferred
• NetSuite experience
