Morgan Payments organization provides cash management, liquidity, commercial card, transformation and other solutions to clients across the world. Teams are constantly innovating, using the latest technology and data analytics to deliver specialized solutions to help clients grow and streamline their businesses.Control managers (1st line of defense) are responsible for partnering with Payments business leaders to identify and assess existing and emerging operational risks and to design suitable solutions for mitigating risks that align with product strategy. The Payments Controls team is seeking a Vice President level candidate who will be the lead control manager for the Global Transformation and Field Strategy business stripes of JPM Payments Control Management responsible for ensuring a robust controls environment as the Client Service and Implementation team continues to support clients. The candidate will also be responsible for leading governance and control forums, managing relationships with the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense and participating in regulatory engagements.This is a high visibility role which will require outstanding communication skills, project management discipline and a strategic risk assessment mindset to quickly grasp the risks associated with innovative product offerings. Lead the Global Transformation and Field Strategy efforts to refine and establishing governance that identify, quantify, manage and monitor risk

Act as an advisor to the business leads on mitigation of emerging risks with the product or with new initiatives.

Drive and lead oversight of the end-to-end system of controls that mitigates risk through active engagement, thematic reviews, risk analysis and control deep dive which continuously manage and reduce the Business's residual risk profile

Deliver high quality, consistent and meaningful executive reporting and analytics to identify trends and themes to support business decisions

Create and deliver executive communications, status reporting, and metrics.

Manage regulatory exams and audits impacting Client Service and Implementation.

Chairing the Control Forum and attending other regional and governance forums

Reporting to senior management on a regular basis

Maintain strong controls in close partnership with the business and relevant partner, establish risk tolerances and risk management procedures as well as tools

Qualifications:

Relevant industry experience (7+ years) in the financial industry along with deep knowledge of Payments, ideally coupled with the right risk and control mindset and strategic experience

Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes even where no direct line management responsibility exists

Ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams

Proactive in taking initiative to improve business processes

Excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills

Effective change management and transformation experience; ability to connect with teams to influence current state mindset, help them adapt to a changing environment

Ability to develop strong partnerships across lines of business to achieve goals

Proven ability to achieve quality results in a rapidly changing environment requiring flexibility / adaptability to changing directives

Ability to quickly transform ideas and information into electronic presentation.
