Our Ophthalmic Instrument Division is currently seeking a Medical Sales and Service Representative for our Tampa/Central Florida Territory. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team…we are a multi-line distributor of the finest ophthalmic instrumentation in the industry! Job Summary This position is responsible for the sales, installation, and service of ophthalmic instrumentation within the territory to the ophthalmic community. Establish goals and develop strategy to achieve Territory short-range and long-range business objectives. Income potential: $80-$100k. Position Responsibilities:
Utilize professional selling skills and best practices to produce budgeted instrument sales quota within defined sales territory.
Utilize experience, factory training and/or Walman internal support to achieve highest quality installation and service standards.
Assist and participate in the planning/attendance of National, State and Local Conventions.
Continually review and improve processes. Effectively communicate suggestions to build customer equity, increase sales, improve profitability, simplify jobs, eliminate non-value added tasks and reduce costs.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record that complies with the Walman Optical Co. Motor Vehicle Policy.
Experience/Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent, plus 4 years of relevant work experience
Mechanical/electrical knowledge required
Experience/training in outside sales preferred
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision
